The Crying Bride

It is okay to cry on your wedding day! Ladies, tears of joy are a wonderful thing, and certainly a crowd pleaser. Overwhelming emotion is a great and beautiful reaction to such a joyous occasion! As long as they aren’t tears coming from a place in you that says- “Am I making the right decision?” ;-) We understand though that some of us just aren’t pretty criers. Don’t we all wish we could be that radiant bride with one glistening tear running perfectly down her cheek? Let’s face it, some of us can’t help being messy criers– red nose, funny faces, eye-makeup running down your face- kind of criers. If you’re in this boat, don’t stress. Consider having your formal photography before the ceremony if you expect to be drowning in tears and puffiness after your vows. Have a talk with your makeup artist, or pack on the heavy duty waterproof mascara! Have your maid of honor stash some tissues, and even plan on a few minutes after your ceremony to re-touch your makeup if you plan on really bawling your eyes out (and your makeup off.) Don’t stress yourself out spending so much energy (and some ugly faces) trying to force the tears not to come out…allow yourself to revel in all the emotions of one of the most special days of your life!
