Don’t let yourself lose sleep over choosing your bridesmaids. There’s no magic number, and there’s certainly no obligation to include your cousin’s girlfriend’s best friend. This is your bridal PARTY…no tears or tension allowed! Remember that your bridal party isn’t up there just to look pretty and compliment your color palette– there’s some serious symbolism behind their placement in the wedding. These are the people who have loved and stood beside you and your groom throughout your lives, and who will celebrate and stand beside you not just in your wedding, but throughout your marriage. Show your love and appreciation for your bridesmaids by treating them to a spa day before the wedding, or putting together a little gift for each one to present after the rehearsal dinner. We love this idea of writing a special note of thanks and friendship on the bottom of all the bridesmaids’ shoes for the wedding. Take home message: choose the people you love most to stand beside you on your big day, and in all the busyness of planning a wedding, don’t forget to let those women know how special they are to you!
